It’s great to see you here, I am Amy Walter the Founder of Tourvoz Travel - a California native, big city adventurer and detail-obsessed global Head of Events with a passion for luxury travel, and a love of historic architecture and interior design. By day, I am managing a corporate event team, living in San Francisco with my husband and our two French Bulldogs. And when I am not working, in my free time I am obsessed with traveling - which led me to become a travel advisor. My travel style is focused on the balance between luxury, adventure and relaxation. This philosophy (and with the help of AI) we came up with the name Tourvoz Travel - “Tour” to represent fun journeys in which different places are visited; and “Voz” is Spanish for your voice. Viola, combine the two, and Tourvoz was created to provide you a modern travel agency where your voice, preferences and budget become the foundation of a bespoke luxury travel experience curated just for you.

  • Yep! Over the past few years, industry players have rebranded as travel advisors to reflect the level of personalization and care we put into planning each trip. Like a financial advisor - we’re real experts. We can create your trip from scratch or help book what you’ve already decided on, and everything in between.

  • We make travel awesome. At Tourvoz Travel I take the time to learn your preferences and narrow down your destination and accommodation options to find the best fit for you, specifically. My job is to make sure your next trip is precisely tailored to your taste, vacation style and budget, of course.

  • “Why should I book with you when I could just book through Amex?”

    This is one of the most common questions we get, along with…

    “Aren’t the hotel perks the same? And what about that 5x points value? Why is booking with a travel advisor better?”

    And we’ve got answers. Read on to learn why booking travel with me, as a Fora advisor, means a better booking & travel experience.

    Reason 1: We offer a highly personalized booking experience; Amex bookings are made via an online booking site or call center.

    Reason 2: When you book with a Fora advisor, you get prioritized for room upgrades. We’ll let you in on a little secret: booking with me means you’re getting all the same perks, but you are prioritized for room upgrades above Amex! Why? Because the travel industry is all about relationships.

    Reason 3: Booking with a travel advisor means you have dedicated, 1:1 support to square away all the details.

    Reason 4: Booking with me, a Fora Advisor, means you’re supporting a small business.

    But wait… how should I use my Amex? We are Amex cardholders ourselves and love American Express benefits. Amex has a great points program, lounge access, and numerous other perks that we as cardholders love. Our advice? Book your flights with Amex and rack up points on other expenses — but save the hotel bookings for booking with me, your advisor, so I do all the legwork and unlock a smoother, more personalized & VIP experience for you.

  • We can - but specialize in the on-the-ground experience, accommodation and activities. Many customers choose to book their own airfare, or better yet - airfare is the perfect place to use those valuable loyalty or credit card points!

  • Ooh, time for our favorite question! When booking your trip through us, a Fora Travel affiliate, you’ll benefit from the partnerships with more than 4,500 hotels and travel providers around the world, including the Virtuoso consortia, Four Seasons and Rosewood.     Say hello to room upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, resort and spa credits, and, last but definitely not least, you’ll get all of this for the best available rate you’d find on the Internet.

    But traveling with Tourvoz on your side goes well beyond that. We, and fellow Fora advisors, put serious time and airline mileage into visiting these properties in person so we can give you the up-to-date intel on your destination. We also maintain close relationships with hotel management so you’re treated like the VIP you are from the moment you arrive.

  • Check out the Travel Services page for more details on pricing options. However, its important to note for several travel bookings, including hotel only reservations, we don’t charge anything.

    Being fully transparent, I receive commissions from the properties and travel providers, at no additional cost to you. In fact, we’ll always find the best available rate so you can be confident you’re getting a great deal.

    Because airlines rarely offer that option, if you do want help arranging airfare, I will charge a ticketing fee of $100 when booking this for you.

    For more complicated multi-stop itineraries or for multi couples or families, there may be a planning fee. This will always be transparently presented.

    For every trip we book, we happily share recommendations for restaurants and activities that you can either book yourself, or with the help of the hotel concierge, at no cost to you. If you’d like us to arrange those, the cost of booking restaurant bookings and organizing activities varies, but usually starts at $350 per week of travel.

  • It depends on the hotel or travel provider. Most hotels require a credit to hold a room, but some also charge a deposit upon making the reservation. Before I release your payment information, I’ll always let you know your chosen hotel’s deposit and cancellation policies so there are no surprises.

  • Of course! The more the merrier. Whether you’re organizing a family reunion, honeymoon, a bachelorette party, destination experience or a company-wide retreat, we’re happy to help. Just get in touch and we can chat through all the details!

  • Hotels are required to offer price parity, but occasionally you may see a different rate from an online travel agency than the one advertised on the hotel’s website. That happens very rarely but, when it does, I will do our best (e.g. contact the property directly) to ensure the property honors the same price.

  • Planning travel - if you have a lot of time - can be fun. Trust me, that’s why I love this!

    But you’ll still benefit from using Tourvoz Travel. Tell me the hotels you’re interested in and I’ll book them for you so you get perks such as free breakfast, a room upgrade, early check-in or late check-out, at no extra cost to you.

    Plus I’ll let you know if we have any intel on the property that may not be obvious online (like the fact that the room you requested looks onto a wall). It’s like having a best friend who works in travel, and can help you plan your dream trip.

  • It depends. Some are extra easy and can be organized in an hour, while others include many different moving parts and might take a few weeks. As we review your trip goals, we will talk timeline up front.

  • Tell me everything. Let me know if you love golf, must have access to a kids’ club, or can’t stand the feeling of sand through your toes (no beach for you!). Serious allergies or dietary restrictions are also very helpful information to have. That way I’ll only show you options that fit your wants and needs. It’s also great to hear about hotels and trips you’ve loved in the past, because that clues us in to your travel style. Most importantly is budget - I want to be super aligned on what your budget is and make sure I deliver options right in your comfort zone.

  • No problem, just forward us your hotel details via email, and we’ll look into doing a “takeover booking”. This means Tourvoz be added as the agent of record and you get all the perks at no additional charge!

  • Yes! For long weekend getaway and full itinerary bookings, we will help secure restaurant reservations. While we can't guarantee availability; we will always do our best to book you the restaurants you want to try.
